My girlfriend is wanting to join me, but I don't have a kayak for her, anybody with an extra willing to let her use one? I'll bring some extra beer for whoever does, oh and she used to be a massage therapist too. I will see what I can work out  :smt003

Jeff

I'll have a spare there she can use ready to fish in.

I'll have my emergency paddle that someone can borrow. I will be leaving Sat afternoon so Sunday may be an issue. Oh and don't forget to secure a PFD

The trip to the site will be heavy the return trip should be lighter; food, ice, ect. I'm still trying to get it worked out to go friday night. Is there anybody intersted in renting a boat to transport gear? Is there going to be kids and wives there?

You don't need to spend money for an extra transport. There should be plenty of people willing to use their kayaks for mules, just like last time. Just remember to bring some rope to link the kayaks.

And with the higher water level, there should be a lot less mud to contend with, barring any moisture from above.

Wait we have to paddle to the campsite??? If so then my girlfriend is out she wanted to come hangout and camp. She just will not ever get on a kayak. I'll just give her my credit card so she can go shopping and ditch her for the weekend to come join you guys.

Yes the campsite is boat in, but there is a road from the marina to the campsite she can walk.  It's just under a mile and it's a pretty flat easy walk (Maybe a little hill, if I remember)

It's a .08 mile walk along a flat road to camp.....my wife (weather pending) is coming sat. to kick-it. If it's not raining or freezing she'll stay the nite(so she says) it's not that far and takes 15 min to walk.

Oh okay thanks for the heads up. I was thinking it was an island. I will let her know.

The walk is NOT flat, but it is very do-able. Maybe the last 30 yards can be considered flat.

I live pretty close to Del Valle, so probably won't be camping, but I will definitely want to come paddle and fish with everyone.  I just need to get a drop off and pick up and I will be set to have beers all day with  the rest of you.  Remember though, absolutely no drinking before 5am.  The park doesn't even open... :smt044

Was thinking of bringing chili for lunch on saturday. Is someone bringing a camp stove? Looks like the forecast is for rain. Is someone brining a tarp?
