I have never really noticed since in the past I have only been there for the day. But I have to assume there are shad or minnows (or something) in the lake. I ask b/c I have two minnow traps that we could set overnight.  Does anyone know the forage  fish in DV?

I've been tempted to try and trap some, but have never tried.  I'd guess the shallows would be a good place to start.  Have seen little schools by the beach when launching before.  Guess i'll bring a trap, cause I aint buyin no minnows this time...

Last time I caught half a dozen crawdads, 2 little frogs and tarantula. All within spittin' distance from Mooches tent. I left the snakes alone. :smt005

I guess crawdads would be good bait for stripers.

Crawdads are without-a-doubt THE best bait for smallmouth bass. It's like smallie-crack!

I just paid using my wife's Paypal account.  Please put me on the "Snorers row" list  :smt015

For the NCKA snorers, anyone up to MBF for the loudest  :smt003

Don't tempt me I am on record  at Berkley on their snoremograph which has been confused with seismograph on several occasions. Prof. Snotgrass has me recorded at 7.0.....major stuff.

Prize for loudest snorer MBF?

70 bucks + S/H for that piece of rubber band?  What a ripoff and it looks so uncomfortable.  Ear plugs are only 50 cents a pair  :smt003

I think there will be many "Pack yaks" available.  I'll be using my inflatable Advanced elements 10'er for my pack yak, if I can't stuff & carry everything I feel I'll need, on my OB.
