2009 Angler of the Year

I haven't entered an AOTY yet, but regarding the steelhead/trout split, one thing that has impressed me has been comments from some participants saying it has made them learn how to fish (sub)species they had never targeted previously or at least got them to improve their skills with some species. The contest motivated them to get out more, diversify, and essentially become better fisherman. That's cool! Everyone has certain advantages & disadvantages over someone else; the challenge is to use your particular strengths to your advantage and figure out how to get around your disadvantages. OK, that's starting to sound a bit "psycho-babble" but bottom line is AOTY is a challenge - take it as such & find your way to conquer it!

Heh, well the button is before 2008 AOTY!  Just click-n-pay!!!  Unless that was some devious way to get free donations to the site, I'm sure its what Bill wants ya to do!
