If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Thanks fellas...we missed ya'!....so i'll keep poostin', not to be confused with Boostin' :smt005
I can't tell you how many or any specifics, but WE- HAD- A- BLAST!  We were in a tight formation, Bendos to the right of me, Bendos to the left of me! I continued to paddle over the 20' tops, that were surrouded by 50'.
4oz.Lead w/7"FT was my weekends choice of weapon(along w/a lil-scent,Shhh! :smt002)
I also stuck with a $.50/ on-sale, 6"squid body as the teezer and was about to give up on them, realizing WHY they were on sale( cuz they didn't WORK! :smt010).....and then guess what happened? (see pic2 for answer)

pic1~ 28" Ling with a protruding gill that was all healed up....he stayed close home after I released him(and was released again on Sunday..Jim/Insiene??I need some fish tags! :smt005)

pic2~ healed and hungry!

pic3~ best sale item I ever purchased(3bags of them!)

A blur is right...  Three days of non-stop Beaniness, and it was a total blast with a revolving cast of characters.  I can't even remember what I caught from day to day, but my arm was starting to get sore by Sunday, making even underlings feel like something bigger.  More cabbies than I can remember, my first ever kayak vermillion, at least 5 lings, a few blues, chinas, and the biggest smelt I've ever seen, about a foot long.  I don't know how he managed to hook himself on the 4oz jig!

There were at least three BIG heartbreaking moments!!!  The lurker in the blue sit-inside yak, sorry I forgot your name, lost a HUGE halibut at his boat while Sean and I looked on in helpless disbelief.  And at the same time not 20 yards away Adam...  I'll let someone else tell that story.  It was long perdiods of boredom interrupted by moments including multiple hookups, splashing, shouts of joy and truimph and curses.

Dave, that fish dish was crazy insane tasty!

I logged over 12 miles friday morning and had to pry ourselves away from the glass around 3ish..we still had two more days TO GO!!
...stand by for Friday nights epic "livin in our cars, down by the shore!" at PigionPt.

Ano in the background, GreatWhiteAle in the fore!  OH, it's a tough life we have to live!

And at the same time not 20 yards away Adam...  I'll let someone else tell that story.  It was long perdiods of boredom interrupted by moments including multiple hookups, splashing, shouts of joy and truimph and curses.

I thought "we all" decided to "not" mention that lil farm job of mine?! :smt013 and your too far ahead Eric, Dave learned "his" lesson first.......Opps! WEREweSUPPOSEDtoFORGETthatONEtoo? sorry Dave! :smt044

Yeah, I was needed at home over the weekend, but still managed to squeak out Friday & Sunday go-outs. My aversion to cold stinky neoprene made me want to rinse & dry my gear on saturday.
Well, trips#13 and 14 were a BLAST for me. The absolutely epic weather window Friday was magical. I manAged to catch enough fish to keep it interesting.
Friday's count was 4-5 cabs to 20", a nice 20" black for dinner, and a few small rf & I think an underling (the days are blurring, like Eric said).
Fav memories of the day were looking over to see Fishunter, Guitarzan, & EricB all with fish ON, and just kicking it on the BeanBluff with post fishin antics.

Sunday's weather-not so good, but not bad for Bean. Cold & bumpy OTW, but the action kept us out there for a few hours. Lots of nice hookups.
On Sunday the ocean generously offered up 3 lings 28" to 30", kept the 30incher, released the others including the "you-have-just-caught-a-fish-previously-caught-by-the Fishunter fish with the injured gill. (It sounds crazy, but I swear-same weekend+same reef=same fish?). I also released a black, a china, and 2 other cabs.

Sunday memories: Seeing the back of the BEAST that allowed Fishunter some hands on action but self released before pics could be taken, seeing the BEAST of a hali that also escaped, and feeling the wonderful electricity OTW when you & the crew you are with know that the bite is ON and anything could be waiting for your fishtrap, down there....

Thanks to the Bean crew for being out there, there were lots of good times had.

I baked a ling fillet for supper last night, rolled in italian breadcrumbs with homegrown squash on the side. Manna from the sea & garden baby!
