Short post... I got on the water at 11 on Friday and cleaned up, some lings, cabs and assorted rf-no verms!...- brought home at least 15 lbs of fresh fillets, had a blast with the crew, btw, there is no camping allowed at the P.P. Lighthouse bluff. Sat was a bit slower but I managed a AOTY upgrade with a 22 3/4 inch cabbie that went back to the drink.
Dave/ Relentless had one hell of a sleigh ride-see pic- Ill let him finish the story, Duane, your gonna love this!
Food was off the hook, Mmmmmmmm!
Dave cooked up Erics football sized vermilion on the fire with some veggies and damn, it was the bomb! That and Adams Mex dish and Erics Tequilla, it doesnt get much better. Mooch showed last night, and they all went out again today.
And we picked up a few big bags of trash on the beach too.

Nice!!! I have been wondering about you all and how it went and if you camped out. Thought we might just make a run down, but too much stacked up on the to do list this weekend. Looks like you had the priorities on straight.

Nice Ben.

I am so sorry i could not make it this weekend.

I planned all week but  the nasty ear infection kept me on land, doing chores instead.

What a beautiful Cabbie!  Feels good to slide a fish like that back n the drink, don't it?

Thanks for the post!

Allen

Great meeting you Ben. Man I wish that I was there Friday to see all of that. Awesome!

My biggest fish this weekend was a cabbie that weighed in just under 9LBS.

Good report. Nice fishing. Good to know The Bean still has the magic even if the launch is subject to dicey-ness due to wind and swell direction. It usually proves to worth getting the timing right and getting out there.

it's all a 3-day blurr of drift after drift, so excuse me if I get a little ahead or behind myself. Friday we started south for a slow morning. Quality fish were caught, but just not enough. TallPaul had the only Ling so far, but we still had 1/2 a day to go after he departed. We gave up on the south side and paddled straight to the DOUBLE SECRET REEF and it was a HOOK-FEST! Cabs,Grassies,Lings and drag pulling things!

pic1&2~ 21.75 PotBellyCabbie

pic3~ the Grassies are big and fat too!

Both of those cabbies are some fat looking fish, they must have a good summer with all the food in the water this year.  Beautiful fish,

Great looking trip all around.
