I haven't posted reports much lately, mainly, because the last fish I landed was a 3" blu-gill at Loch Lomond!  I don't fish the ocean yet, so I have nothing really to report.   I managed to get away to BAM IV this month, but, I was skunked.  Discouraged,  and as I think Als'hobieoutback put it "Life happened"  got things around my house that have to get done before winter sets in.
Bottom line for me is. I don't get out.  Nothing to report.

The amount and detail of the reports on this site continue to amaze me where can you get more??
I didn't join this site to find places to fish I joined to learn how to set up my kayak for fishing and hook up with like minded people.
The reports are just a bonus and I appreciate everyone for letting me share in their experiences.
Secret spots is overrated, If I give you my spot and you catch fish that's fun if I give you general info on the area and you find your own spots that's what it's all about.

IMHO if you want more reports GO FISHING.

Well said Mike! 100 PERCENT WITH YOU ON THIS ONE  :smt008

And to answer the subject title : "Why aren't there more "Fishing Reports" Posted"

It's simply "choice"  :smt002

And a simple note to all: If any of you don't like how NCKA runs...then start your own secret forum...it's as simple as that  :smt002

I'm gonna keep it So0O0o Real_ here!...I did not read too many replies/thoughts from others, but what I do want to say is:
Speaking for myself, I spent many days, hours and miles pounding the shoreline of  the lakes, delta and bay. Sometimes getting lucky, but mostly frustration. I'd read local fish reports from the midweek partyboats and baitshop b/s FAITHFULLY!, know darn well it was week old news, it was ALL I had. Coastside?..that's for boaters.
I attended a Fred Hall show and met SCallen and his FullyFucntionalYak. Do you believe in LOVEatFIRSTsight?
Got to work and searched for more info....but all that was showing was So-Cal stuff? and I don't need those reports.
Then like magic, I typed NorCalKayakAngler.......seeing local areas, lakes, bay and ocean, I needed in and felt like i just discovered something MAGICAL!
*I don't know how to fish from one, but it reads like there are lots to learn from.

*I knew how to shorefish for trout(and that was IT)
read how-to and went out and tried it.
pic1~first Yak-trip and biggest ever. Thanks Mooch

*Never caught a LargeMouth with a lure before either. Alfredo (sac Al) posted a hookup at RanchoSeco.....I went, met him and Dan(xlurker) He "gave" me a couple of shore lessons and soon got my first LMB on a lure! Took that knowledge to my local pond and...(see pic2~)

pic2~ 22" LMB my second. Thanks Alfredo!

*never caught a Striper in a lake, until i went up to Mendo for the CSBA tourney of 2005. Another NCKA driven hookup!
pic3~my first yak striper from Mendo! Thanks Sean/SBD

..do you see the pattern?  I would never have ever IMAGINED the GOODTIMES I've had in the 2yrs+10mos. here with my NCKA Fam.

I'm just a lurker, that lurked for a month, until I got a Yak. Then I was trying to go EVERYWHERE there were fish getting caught or at a gathering of MADNESS.
Clearlake to meet Spidey!...then OysterPointTourney for my first bay trip!...soon the fellas were telling me I ain't no Real_Fisherman until I get a LING!
...and now look what has happened!
I don't have any secret spots to share, cuz I get them ALL from YOU GUYS!
You can paddle me out to the reef, point, vegitation, sand bar or even "YOUR HONEY HOLE" give me the "sure fire lure" tell me how deep to drop it, BUT that don't mean I'm gonna catch me a FISH!..it only means i TRIED!

if there were nothing but PMs and phone calls going around and you didn't get one, don't feel left out, I don't get them either.
Maybe they don't want their "spot" FisHunted and I can understand that.....but don't let me find out you're keeping local secrets.....or I might invite the whole EastBaySlayers to join in!....ALLoneOFthem!ME :smt008
....now I know why I never see the LEGENDS posting a hook up :smt005
they remember when it was hard to find ONE person to fish with, now it's getting BIGGER and FUNNER(for me anyway)

FisHunter is the Real Deal!!!! Dude has definitely put in his time and I agree with everything he said in his reply.
I usually post. If I don't it is because I got home late, was tired, had to get up early for work, had to clean gear afterwards, REALLY needed to rebuild the GAF, etc. By the time I was ready to post it is old news.
Mickfish was right on with his GO FISHING too.  :smt044

Hey FisHunter, I am with you all the way on  your comments to all that had help
you out along the way. I have just started here just a few months ago and I have
already met lots of wonderful people who are willing to help you in anyway they can. So for that, I am very grateful and hope someday to repay in anyway I can.
I still have yet to grow into this new found hobby of mine. So please, be patient
with the newbie (me) :smt001 Adam, you are alright in my book bro.

I would never go out by myself out on the water because there will be no one to help me out if I get into trouble. I will likely not get a phone call or PM from members in the site since I'm a newbie and people don't know me very well. So I rely on the site to find out where guys are hooking up. I always ask if I can tag along and fortunately no one has ever said not to come along. If guys don't post, I won't get to enjoy the outdoors on a kayak and I'd likely end up watching TV. I just want to enjoy the outdoors and meet people that share the same interest. My intention is not to steal the "secret spot". If guys go out just to kayak and not fish, I'll still go if I can.

My point is the posts and hookups are helpful for guys like me. I appreciate this site. Please share.
I wouldn't go so far as to call a lingcod filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a lingcod's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
