Looks like I am in.  I was holding out for the possibility of taking a Saltwater Kayaking class but it fell through.

that's one of the great things about Delmonte, it's so easy launch and landing, usually very mild there.

I hope you're right Allen as this will be my first time on the ocean.  I've got plenty of time in on the water, just not the big blue.  Should be fun.  Maybe I'll have some newbie ocean luck!

Hi Allen:

     You're correct but, MBA site still said: "MBK will not be renting kayaks or gear for this event".
      I called Tara at MBK and they have Approx. five Yaks for fishing.
(4) Prowler13 and maybe a Tarpon 140. Tara said, "Better to book now" a Yak for Sunday 17th.

  I've never camped there before, but will be giving it a shot!  Have one other friend going, so if theres room, your more than welcome to crash on our spot providing we get one  

Also hear that there is going to be a lot of traffic in Monterey for a bunch of car shows this weekend.

I wish I could fish with you all but I am pretty sure my wife is not down for that.  I am going to take her and the puppy we are sitting for this weekend up to S.C. for some beach/pier time then I will head down to Monterey in time for the weigh in.  I'm about 90% sure I'll be allowed to do that at least =)

As you know, I totally suck at hali fishing so will refrain from any smack talk.  I'm sure Pat, Duane and Ben and others will be able to give you some competition. However if hali fishing is sloooow....
