I might add that this is mostly on finesse techniques using Senkos and similar plastics.

Since the focus, from what I understand, will be on senkos and such, I assume spinning reels are in order?  Or are small baitcasters approriate?

You'll have to excuse the dumb question, I have been using zebcos for senkos exlusively til I broke em all finally.
