The tall peak in the background is Whitney Peak, the tallest peak in the lower 48.

Actually the tall peak in the background is Lone Pine peak, it is really in the foreground. Whitney is the thickest of the few pillars to the left that looks low, it's way in background.

Many people make this error.
That peak is also in about 75% of Western movies going back to the start of film!
