A wave is good  :smt006

If you see a diver please stay away. There's plenty of ocean out there.
Unless you just saw a shark  :shark then make a beeline towards him  :smt003

+1.

That being said, when I see a fellow kayak diver (while I'm also diving), I like to go up to see if I know them. Since I dive solo a lot, I sometimes ask if I can dive with them if they don't mind. I've never been told no. In fact, I've made many close dive friends that way. I also don't mind if I'm approached. If you're already that close to "my honey hole" then you likely already know about it too ;)

Do you guys like it when someone you dont know sees you on the water and approaches you to say hi, or do you prefer to be left alone?

Last couple times I went out, I didnt approach others because I wasnt sure if that was something that was appreciated or not.

Good topic I fish alone most of the time, but often see a kayak and because of the location and kayak, I think hey it's so and so. 5 years ago I was correct now days it is almost always someone I don't know. Anyway back to the question, if I am catching fish come on over and say hi, ask what I'm using that's cool I will be more than happy to share both spot and technique. If I'm not catching anything STFA.  :smt114 :smt114
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

It’s always amusing to see kayakers who ignore you and your waves or nod on the water, but later you see the ncka reports.
