Question about etiquette OTW

I'm always on the water with friends... but I'd be more than willing to chat it up w/ whomever!  As long as I'm not hooked up that is 

I think we're pretty approachable on the water....just don't get offended when someone tries to pass you a bowl. 

Some 10 years ago if I know Dustin is OTW I would try to stick close to him.  He would always gives his fish away

I live in Santa Cruz,  you can get high just walking around here.

Sounds like for the most part people are pretty mellow with others saying hi, coming closer.  I will be less "shy" from now on.

While I don't smoke, I consider it a compliment when someone offers. Home grown or bought... Stuffs $$$ when I decline, it's not a judgement thing and it's good to be considered one of the crew anyway...

Yeah, we need to change that. 

Say HI and make as many kayak fishing buddies out there as you can! 

Before I started I used to always wave at everyone even when I'm paddling but now there are so many new people that I've given up on waving.  also been seeing so many people without pfd and cold immersion clothing. I'm tired of preaching the same shit over and over again.

If I see kayaks I usually aim the bow of my boat straight at em and head straight for em to say hi......but they just wind up swearing real loud at me.  yakers are so salty these days.

And if you ever see a blue Caribbean 14 on the water with a trail of floaters and tank well full of empty tall boys......beat it kook. 

And, I wear a mask for UV protection so anytime I try to talk, it's all mumbly anyway. 

Same as me, but without the mask.

Actually, I find the mumbling thing pretty useful. When I mumble and point, people seem to hear something like "there are big fish over there", so they paddle away and leave me alone. But, what I really say is, "Paul is dead". Works every time!

The good thing is that all my stuff is still packed from the last time I flaked.
