http://svmbc.org/svmbc/activities/coyote-creek-cycling-classic/

Participated in this Classic last October 2013 for my very first organized ride ever. Had a blast. Well organized! Support group all over in case of breakdowns or incapacitated by leg cramps! Good food! Nice T Shirt and Patch to remember the event by. And at a very reasonable price.

Just surfing the web and just found out this year's Classic is just around the corner.
Very good for a start up ride. If we get a good enough participation, we can even schedule a pre-event ride around the area so you can have a feeling of how it will go.

Any interest?

that looks like a fun event.  I already have another event in mind for that saturday, but you guys should posse up and do it together.
Angel, that ride would be a good one for you.  not too hilly, good support, local, and cheap.  go for it dude.

and seriously, come over this friday or weekend, and let's get your position dialed on my trainer.  I also have a cute lil bell and horn for you.  You got a helmet already right?

I don't know if I'll be able to make that ride.  Maybe the next one.

I've got a helmet but maybe a different one would be good.  I'll take you up on the bell. I think you mentioned lights I'll take you up on that too and maybe a plastic flower for my handlebars.  ;)

I'll try to drop by this weekend for the fitting.  I'll send a pm.

I picked up a speeder, living up here in the Berkeley Hills, lots of opportunity to ride right from the house, which I hate about mountain biking, no close good trails and have to drive to them…

The speeder, a Roubaix,  scares me… the position down hill is so weird. I'm used to mountain bikes and getting low for down hill, no escape with the speeder,,, still not comfortable and have even switch the gearing to more mountain biking gears as the hills here are so steep…
Like ya said though, probably just time in the seat…

it is a nice bike though, complete with shock absorbers in the frame and forks, clean machine...
