Seems like alot of hardware in the tank.  One thing I've learned about chovies is that they're not smart and probably the weeniest of the brown baits. Both those obstructions look like they'll trap and beat up baits.....dead loss will create more dead loss if they stay in there and your bait will roll quick.

For the intake and exhaust just use a plastic thru hull installed backwards so the barb is on the outside of the tank and the mushroom is on the inside.

You can fab up a short cap that'll direct the water in one direction.  Also, install the intake at the bottom of the tank so the fresh oxygenated water circulates instead of flowing right out.

Thanks agarcia; order additional parts to make the recommended adjustments! Will post revisions soon.

Here's the lastest toy I got to document my rides and catches! I found it locally at Fry's Electronics for $225, down from the recommended retail price of $299; however, I had to order online the wireless remote.

Also manage to sweet talk the sales girl into giving me one of those camera holder thingies they used to mount/display their video cameras. It's that black piece mounted to the bottom tripod mount screwhole.

After looking for a several options for manufacturing a mounting system, I happen to stumble across two Scotty piece that worked good together to make the mount; the Boom Rod Holder and the Rod Holder extension (I actually used another Rod Holder Extension and the 'Rod Holder" section of the Boom Rod Holder to make another rod holder; it's the one directly behind the seat, port-side.)

The last image is the view from the camera, as mounted; I added an additional extension to extend it further out off the port-side to hopefully get a better view of any catches!

Dear lord baby jesus, somebody please take this guy fishing!  :smt005

Cool vanity mount. I recently discovered those Joby Gorilla tripods fit perfectly into a Micro-RAM mount. Easy to adjust OTW but I can't be certain it's fully aimed at me until after the photo...whereas with your setup, you can be sure it's pointing in the same direction/angle each time. I got the W90 a few months ago and so far, so sweet! But I'd like to checkout the remote. Be sure to let us know ho it works out---I know a few other people were excited to see a waterproof digi w/remote when it came out.

I know a few other people were excited to see a waterproof digi w/remote when it came out.

This month is a really hard month to get out on the water; between working 12hr days and family committments this month, my free time is extremely limited. But I am gonna try and go to Doran on 2/17, just to get the boat wet.

Hopefully the remote comes in before then, so I can give it a test drive and report back.

I hardly get to sleep; I either surfing on Rigged Prowlers or in the garage trying to complete the boat.

If I do make a run for any fish this weekend, I will be sleeping in the garage for a long while; wife's birthday, got to pay my dues for the up coming events. :smt008

I believe the only thing left to do to the kayak, is to make sure that things in the storage well stay there when I'm on the water; so going to install additional fastening points for things kept in the well. After that I should have the basics on the boat to get by my first paddling excursion.... i hope....

That's it; I'm as done as I am ever gonna be, pending the first shake-down run. Granddaughter couldn't help adding her finishing touch with the Godzilla head on the bow. Now gotta see how she does on the water...

OK.  Since having a kayak may now be closer for me I've been checking out the "pimp" threads in anticipation.

This is the first time I've read through this post and after reading it I've come to two conclusions.

1) I've got to sell my business and seek employment with the post office.

2) Now I know why stamps keep going up!  :smt044
