My wife will be with me and also the dog. Picked out the rod (Calstar BTG 270-7) for 1st place and will be wrapped in red and gold colors. The launch logistics will be challenging with this many anglers. Hopefully some will choose to launch from other sites which will decrease the congestion at MC.

Yes, this is the biggest concern. So if this many people actually show up (doubtful), we might split up into groups. I know of 5 viable launch sites that we could potentially utilize....with Mill Ck being able to accommodate the largest crowd. It could probably handle 15-20 cars, but we need to be considerate of other users...which means we'll have to use the main parking spots as loading zones, then park up along the Hwy while fishing. Not a big deal.

I just checked the specs on that Calstar 270-7 and I'm drooling on my keyboard Scott! That would be sweet!

I am planning to make a flyer/poster, so it's legit, then start looking around for donations. I have some general ideas, but I'm also hoping some of our bros & sisters can lend a hand.

Pat im working on The Tackle Box to donate something!!!...Andy

Pat

We could do the morning check in at the campground and assign people to different launch sites based on surfing skills and/or disregard for being thrashed in the surf.  :smt005 We will need a shore fishing contingency plan if the WX is bad.  :smt012

The BTG series is ideal for the type of fishing we do in Big Sur and recommended by EK.

Man that does seem like ages ago...

Yes = chill event w/family & friends.

I have some goodies to hand out, but we probably aren't going to have a raffle. Money is tight and I didn't feel like spending $500+ for an event that a couple punchbowl turds are trying to ruin want to get stuck with the tab after people started dropping out.
Also, my reluctance to make it an actual tournament made it difficult to garner donations/free stuff.

If people want to make it a MBF (Money Between Friends), we can discuss it at camp.
See you tomorrow dude!

Real beer pong or where you throw dirty ping-pong balls into cups.  The latter is not a game.

Who's bringing the table?
