Is anyone thinking this might still be possible? I don't want to cancel if there is a reasonable chance. Everything I look at shows pretty rough conditions. I'm thinking that we should hope for better conditions and aim for making it up to Jim's wedding in December.

I'm gonna pull the plug. I hope I can make it up there to fish before the end of the year.

Ken, you made the right call. We can see the ocean from a house we are at above anchor bay. The south swell is pretty good. Raining at the moment. Hopefully at Jim and Amy's gig we can get on the water. Cheers amigo.

Thanks for the confirmation. How is it getting out to chicken cove at high tide? I hear it can be difficult when the beach is eroded.

I don't think you can get there at high tide. I had to surf launch last time I was there.

High tide is up on the rocks. Today I don't think it would matter. Chicken cove was a no go.

I'm hoping to fish up there this year. Maybe I can make it Dec. 3rd. It's low tide for the launch but might be a problem getting back in.

Your kayak surfs very well. If the waves are 3' or less no problem. Bigger and you will need to work for it. Stow your rods.
