I stopped by the howe ramp this morning and talked to 3 boaters coming in. One got nothing, another caught 2 big salmon and the third caught one. All caught trolling k14 kwikfish. All down river from howe.

The booth was self serve this morning. $4 per car, $2 per kayak/canoe. So bring some singles.

See you tomorrow, Al

:smt012We tried and tried - but no go.  Vic is working all day tomorow - sometimes life just isn't fair.  Maybe we can meet up sometime soon.  Good luck everyone!

Won't be able to hook up in the morning,  :smt009  That K14 Flatfish that Al mentions has always been a productive method for taking fish in this part of the river, sardine wrap is pretty important for this.  If anyone chooses this method I would suggest anchoring alongside the water pump and working the water here  at daybreak before heading downriver.  This is a deep hole with plenty of current to work the Kwikfish.   Good luck fellas, looking forward to reading the reports!

One thought about the Kwikfish, I'm fairly sure you need to get them towards the bottom, 3-way swivel action and find the holes............Danglin :smt006

Actually saw a couple of fish getting caught today, they were trolling a kwik and hooked up just a little bit above the pump house.  Lots of fish out there rolling, everything I saw get caught was before 10 and the boat traffic wasn't too bad.  Hope you guys have more luck then I did today. Look forward to seeing how things turn out.
