I had home issues that had to be taken care of.

Lots of places have big catfish.  Imperial county canals, lakes in San Diego.....etc.

Nice to know they are around.  Are they channels exclusively or are blues mixed in at the forebay?

MolBasser,

Larry was catching Channel cats - I have never seen a blue caught in any of the Bay Area Lakes. I know a flat head catfish was caught in Steven's Creek a while back.

Thanks.

That's what I thought Joel.

I've caught plenty of blues in San Diego (none of them over 10)  But was unsure if they were in the Sacramento River drainage.

This really makes a weekend trip to the forebay very very attractive.

Campsites on the water.

Stripers.

Largemouth.

Cats.

toss in a case of beer and we have a real good time!!

I'll plan another overnight trip again - just need to plan a better time because of the wind factor. I'd hate to camp out without having a nice bon fire going :smt003  I'll be in touch!
