hilarious.

although i think he could have self rescued alone but probably was worried the goose would attack him again.  i think he forgot the first rule of being around geese - never turn your back to them!

LOL!  I think I would have had goose rather than fish for dinner that day!

Attacked? By somehing that's in the very bottom of the food chain? If that goose had some daggar-like teeth, sharp claws or if it could spit poisonous venom, then I'd be afraid.

If that was me that goose would have been goose adobo! Funny!
I wouldn't go so far as to call a lingcod filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a lingcod's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I don't know, geese can peck & bite really frikken hard...they leave marks. I think I'd have gone on the offensice though 7 strangled the dang bird, or at least whomped it with a fish billy!

yeah, tons of people have been attacked by geese before!

so much so that the state of ohio's department of natural resources even released a pamphlet about it  :smt001
http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/Portals/9/pdf/goose%20conflicts/gooseconflict-3.pdf

some of my farming friends growing up used to have geese as guard animals.  geese can be vicious and are unrelenting when they're pissed - they're like pitbulls with wings.  i've been bitten by a goose once on the arm - it hurt like heck but of course was not as bad as being attacked by a dog or something.  the reason that people get bitten is primarily because geese commonly attack without warning - just snap and the person doesn't know how to react. like that guy on the kayak - had no idea it was about to happen!
