Where is the best place to buy ice between the Golden Gate Bridge and San Mateo? Yesterday I went to my local Safeway and got charged $4 per 9 pounds. The Costco in Foster City told me they don’t sell ice.

I wish we had one of those places that is set up for commercial fisherman and will blow 100 pounds of flake ice into your cooler for cheap.

No ice at Costco?  That seems suspect...3$. 20lbs, smart n final, 5$ maybe...grocery outlet maybe same as smart final

If you have room in your freezer, you can fill gallon ziploc bags with water a few days before you need it. I fill 3 bags (24 lbs) and take a rock pick to break it into smaller chunks after fishing.

I do not know the best place, but have you tried San Francisco Ice?

I fill 1/2 gallon plastic milk bottles and keep them in my garage freezer.  They fit neatly into my ice chests and don't defrost as fast as bagged ice.

+1, I don't know if it's the cheapest for cube ice, but I get ice and dry ice there for pretty cheap relative to grocery stores, and it's my go to for filling up the cooler prior to hunting trips.

Grocery Outlets usually have cheaper too.
I usually stop at the Linda Mar or Petaluma one after fishing.

8-10 water bottles and you can sip some if you get thirsty …if you keep the caps gut and blood free 😉

My Costco in San Leandro has 20lbs for $3. You may check Costco near you.

If you have some space you could fill some Sterilite storage containers with water and freeze overnight. I'd recommend filling the containers to just over half.  Just pop them out just like ice cubes and store them away until needed.   :smt006
