Alrighty boys and girls. I've managed to raise some money for the cause. I'm looking for a used prowler 15 or comparable SOT kayak. Anybody upgrading to a trident? Need some extra duckets and have limited storage space? I'm your man. No reasonable offers overlooked. I would prefer that it comes with a seat/paddle but it's not a deal breaker.

Keep in mind that I am 5' 11" and 200lbs so kayaks smaller than 13" will not be considered.

Thanks for looking

Here's a nice Scupper Pro with lots of extras for only $400. BUT its in San Diego...maybe you can make a vacation out of it!

Thanks for thinking of me PK.

The price is right but I just can't go all the way to San Diego to pickup a kayak.

Out of curiosity how long and how wide are the scupper pros? Wet/dry ride? Tracking? Speed?

Thanks,

Here is a good thread about outfitting the Scupper Pro for fishing: http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,2434.0.html
And here's Scott's Scupper Pro configuration: http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,4285.0.html
There is also a thread on Pg 1 of the Choosing a Kayak forum about the viability of the Scupper Pro: http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,9815.0.html

Only thing I dislike is the rear hatch. I'd prefer an open tankwell instead.

Thanks PK  but I'm gonna pass on any scupper pros. From what everybody tells me they are tippy,  a wet ride and some don't have a rear tank well. I'm not going to have the space to store more than one kayak so I want the one I buy to do the job for a long time. A scupper pro just doesn't fit the bill. Other kayaks of interest would be OK P13 or a Tarpon 140/160. Unfortunately I don't think the tarpon is going to be in my price range. So I'm basically stuck with the OK P13/P15 unless you have any other recommendations for a similar ride. If anybody else has any suggestions for a similar kayak then please speak up. I'm dying here.

They are pretty new so you are not likely to find a used one but a Cobra Marauder is a good choice as well.

Thanks guys. I've actually already been in touch with the guy in stockton. Just trying to hammer out some of the details. If all goes well I will buy this one. Keep your fingures crossed for me...  :smt004

I hope that deal in Stockton worked out for you.  If it did not, Sports Chalet has their Green OK Prowler 15's priced at 30% off, works out to about 650.00 for a new one.
