A buddy of mine passed along some fishing stuff he inherited, and this rod was included. It has end caps on both ends and telescopes to about a 10-foot rod that has no eyelets.

I don't know if this is just a blank that needs eyelets or if there's some unknown way of fishing with it or what. Anyone have any knowledge about a rod like this or ability to read the label?

the first letter means knife or sword.  the second letter means a bridge.  Together, not sure if it has any special meaning but it could be just a brand name for the product, IMO.

I bought one on Amazon a while back.  One end should have a length of cordage you can attach a line too.  Can use like a poke pole, or just a flipping out some bait off a jetty.

I think that's a Tenkara rod... old school Japanese style fly-fishing.  There's a group of older Chinese guys that fish Lake Merced in SF with them.  They put them in holders and just sit around, waiting for the trout to make their way past the dock.

Something like this might be the equivalent. Designed for a section of line to be attached to the tip and then just dipped in the water. Or, what I use it for is a poke pole with maybe 6 inches of line to the hook and see what’s under the rocks.

Tenkara rods are cool for fishing small creeks too. I use mine as a telescoping disc retriever when playing discgolf and get stuck in a tree haha…
