Great write up. I went out on Monday (10/4) to the area of the fingers and caught a 74 lb fish, had 3 other takes that didn't stick.

I have gone chasing BFT a couple times now and got to see one jump about 50ft from boat but still working to get one on line....inspired!

Considering getting an Arima or C-Dory when I retire, which will be in a couple of years.

Keep trying. As long as you have live bait, it's a numbers game (more so in SC since the grounds are 'smaller') and don't eff up if you hook up.

This is still effin nuts that we're able to target them up here. I thought we might have missed our chance this year with it being so late in the season. Every trip is exciting and even skunks don't feel like it -- you want to stay out as long as possible for that single bite.

Going to continue on this thread.. picked up a veal sized bft on Sat. and it was 145# based on the measurements (44 girth, 60 fork) Today is monday and my body is still recovering. I feel like I should be doing some kegels

Damn!  Nice work!  Honestly I was expecting to see a shark pop up and take a bite.  I'm gonna save my pennies for a radar... then I'm gonna give a solid try next year.
