My wife and I received our shots at Kaiser South Sacramento yesterday. We got the J&J vaccine. It only requires one shot.

My arm is slightly sore at the injection location. Not bad really. I also had a light headache last night. Don't know if it was due to the shot.

We both feel fine today.

Received dose 1 of Moderna yesterday at the SF VA Hospital.  No real side effects other than a sore arm -- no different than the flu shot so far.  We'll see how dose 2 goes.

Figured I would add my recent experience with the first shot from Pfizer.  First and foremost, I went to the new Kaiser vaccine center down on 10th St in Oakland.  Class act.  I was in and out in under 18 minutes with the 15 min observation period.

Painless shot, moved my arm all day and had no arm pain.  Next day my arm was actually quite sore.  The more I used it, the better, but if I didnt use it for an hour it was quite tender.  After 3rd day no arm pain.

I had no other symptoms of anything.  Slept great, lots of energy, no headaches or anything odd.

My fiance had Moderna and was actually quite sick for 2 days with her second shot.  She had to take it off from work it was so bad.  Pfizer is supposedly not as severe.

I guess I should mention I'm 37.  I've been noticing a distinct pattern amongst friends and family that the younger you are, the stronger your immune response is on the 2nd shot.  My folks and friends above 60 yrs old have all had almost zero symptoms on the first and second shot of Moderna and Pfizer, except a sore arm.

My friends in their early 30's and late 20's seem to be hit the hardest, having to take 2-3 days off work.  I'm due again April 1st, quite curious what happens.
I'd rather be swinging...

Received first dose of Pfizer/BioNTech on Thursday last week. Sore arm for about 48 hours, like a mild bruise. That’s about it. I continue to palpate for a biphallus but perhaps that will come with the second dose?  My parents and wife’s parents also vaccinated (moderna and Pfizer, both doses) and just a slight arm soreness for all 4, plus a mild fever in one parent overnight. Feeling good. Feeling optimistic. Looking forward to dinner with the family once immunity kicks in. Go science! Go humanity.

Just got the second dose (Pfizer) about 8 hours ago, and so far, so good. No sign (yet) of quadphallus or even biphallus, so a bit disappointed in that respect.

My wife had an interesting experience. She got the first dose (also Pfizer) a couple days before me. For some reason, they could not schedule her 2nd dose 3 weeks out, so it was supposed to be early next week. Today, she got an email saying that her appointment had been cancelled and that she would have to get vaccinated thru Kaiser. Of course, Kaiser has nothing for a couple more weeks, so she’ll be bumping up against the (recently revised) 42 day limit (which, btw, may or may not provide equivalent protection—nobody really knows). Apparently, this is due to the current fad of racial gerrymandering that seeks to get the “right” number of doses to the “right” people, as opposed to, say, giving the vaccine to people who signed up for it following the protocol that was in place a month ago. All in the name of “science!”, no doubt, and surely having nothing to do with slimy politicians trying to maximize there vote potential.

Btw, I should note that the only reason the vaccination center knew that my wife has Kaiser insurance is because she made the mistake of being honest when filling out the paperwork. Who said “honesty is the best policy”?

Prisioners are also on the priority list now because they are wards of the state and the state is legally obligated to provide for them.  I guess the state is more obligated to those who commit crimes against it than for law abiding, tax paying citizens

I had to take a day off from work after my second shot of Moderna. Everyone I know who got it in their 70s and 80s had no side effects. As mentioned earlier, it seems like the stronger your immune system, the more you feel it.

I got the Johnson and Johnson shot on Thursday 4/8/21.  About 1.5 hours after the shot, I started developing a slight fever, when evening came, fever got worse.  Eventually started developing chills and whole body aches.  The next morning, slight fever was still present, no more chills, but body still ached and just felt really tired.  Today (day 2) I feel great, no more fever, no more body aches.
