Shelter Cove Architect Recommendation

After over 20 years of dreaming I’m finally ready for the next phase.

Bought my ocean front lot on Lower Pacific back in 1999 and am looking for an Architect to put my dream to paper.

I’d like to have options and someone familiar with building codes in the Shelter Cove subdivision.

Right on, congrats!
I’ll ask my dad for recommendations. We bought a lot back in 2000 and drew up plans to build—then the market took a dump and it cost much less to buy a house than build the ‘dream house.’ That was in ~2005. If I recall, it was gonna cost over 300k to build (reliable labor & quality materials are hard to find nearby). So they bought one for 220k instead. Our lot is on the market right now (taking a 30k loss at this point...end of bambi dr). And I think the house will be on the market soon.

Yeah I’ve heard from several people that it’d be cheaper to buy an existing home. I’m open to that if it checked off most of the boxes that I’m looking for.

Also it needs to have an unobstructed ocean view. I want it specifically for my kids and their families to enjoy for many years to come.

your lot is in a sweet spot.

I was planning to hire Jonathan who's the owner  of the restaurant across from "Inn of the Lost Coast" before he sold it.  He live in the cove and designed his beautiful home there.
