Zombieland is always a fun one.
Contagion, not quite zombie, but extremely relevant.
Shaun of the dead.

Any of the national news broadcasts.....the beginning is kinda dragging but we should get to the zombie outbreaks soon. 

The newer Planet of the Apes trilogy is sort of apocalypse based. All three are good. Some of my favorite movies.

hit you tube.... short sci-fi movies have been fun to watch. some are really good!

I'd also recommend "The girl with all the gifts" though it's a bit more of a thinker

for sheer nutzo fun you can't go wrong with the early episodes of "Z Nation".

While Zombie movies are fun, I'd also like to hear recommendations about a broader range of movies which feature epidemics, pandemics, worldwide societal collapse, and similar issues which have become rather relevant in recent months.

An older movie in this genre is The Andromeda Syndrome.  Even though I only saw it once a very long time ago, I can still remember the scene in which the emergency crew helicopters into a small town in Arizona to find dead bodies littering the streets, and the only survivors a sterno-guzzling hobo and a bawling baby.

Outbreak was filmed in my local area.  If all we had to do to get rid of this thing was drop a bomb on Ferndale, that's a plan I could probably get behind.

Stakeland (2010)

It's actually a vampire movie, but the vamps are more like zombies. Cool, bloody movie, and there's a so-so sequel.
