Don’t know if this qualifies since I didn’t ever actually SIP but got a lot done on the patio project

Finished our fence in Japanese method burnt wood, ipe and cedar, and now setting limestone tiles

Spiffy that looks like pretty nice work on the patio structure and pretty nice wood also

Soon as I finish tiles I will do a patio structure, would be interested to see some detail photos of any joinery or whatever you did up top

I was going to do Japanese structural joinery but too complicated + I read in a book on the subject that some of their structural methods weren’t all that great

Its nothing fancy , most important was bolting the fascia onto the house, a few angled/beveled cuts. I`m not a carpenter by trade, mostly concrete, heavy construction pre back injury ..lol

the awning is 25 +- y/o, out of ConHeart, pressure washed and stained twice in that time

I was going to attach to the house but don’t have the experience or cajones to start messing with structure so will put up a free standing shelter

I bought fittings from a Canadian company called
Toja Grid to make life simpler putting up a structure

Will do that as soon as I finish the tiles

The wood is burnt not stained (shou sugi ban)

Finished up my shed!

Looks great!  Is it a kit you bought or you built from scratch?

Thanks! It's an 8x10 Aston shed kit I bought from Costco for about $900. I was originally going to go with one of those Lifetime or Keter resin sheds but glad I didn't!

Thanks for the info.  I need a shed like that for my backyard.
