Cover the hole or hide the flag Sonny. That’ll piss them off☺️

Nothing big or fancy, but my dogue helped me make a couple 30x36" raised garden beds so we can increase our growing area.

Hacked together from a pallet scavanged from a neighbor's trash pile.

There was enough decent wood for two, one 1' and the other 6" deep. These are just for amended soil and will sit on top of the slightly compost-amended Oakland clay we've got in the back yard.

14' Necky Dolphin, fast and wiggly, no room for anything.

Tried that but no gain from "pissing them off"  :smt009

Rey and Jedmo don’t say anything when you feed them hot peppers?

I tried the below suggestion and it seems to be working.  Lucky I have no pets right now but a little worry about the neighbors' cats:

"For gophers and moles, sprinkle hot pepper powder at the entrance of their tunnels. Do not spray in an area visited by your pets or children. Wear a mask so you don't inhale the spray - pepper sprays, including homemade ones, can cause respiratory distress. Store pepper sprays out of reach of children."

I think it'll work for golfers too. Put Habanero powder in the 18 holes and it will drive them away after they pick-up the balls. :smt044

:For hot peppers to keep the animals away, they have to burn. Wear gloves because the hotter peppers will burn skin, and safety glasses to protect your eyes. Powders or liquids containing Habanero peppers are usually the hottest. Hot pepper products are available that have a heat rating of at least 180,000 K. Or you can make a spray: Puree 3 to 4 hot peppers, and boil them in a quart of water. Let the mixture stand for 24 hours, strain out the solids and add another quart of water before spraying. A tablespoon of natural biodegradable soap added to the mixture helps it adhere to the lawn. Spray or sprinkle the mixture heavily around the border of your lawn and some throughout. For gophers and moles, sprinkle hot pepper powder at the entrance of their tunnels."

As posted previously, I put in a yard and playground area where once was just bare earth.  Yesterday I finished one of the gates shown here;

Thanks!

My son and grand kids are here for the week, home schooling and working while sheltering with grammy and papa.  My daughter-in-law, their mom, is in the medical business and staying at their home.  This morning my grandson was up at sunrise to play in the sand while I read my newspaper and drank my coffee.  Grand daughter gives the cat some affection.  Life is what you make it and right now, life is good.

Is the stone wall just dry laid, or is it mortared? It looks fantastic.

Dry stacked.  The base is the most critical aspect; compacted limestone road base.  Laser-leveled.

It's Basalite product.

Not cheap, but fast.  Did it all myself with Wife cheering me on.  I'm now working on a second wall that will tier down to a deck to go in later.  Both walls together total 58,000 pounds!  Whew!  Keeping me in shape anyways.  Ha!
