It sure would be helpful to have a list of what fishing locations are open and closed during this shelter-in-place order. Shadow cliff and Los  Vasqueros are both closed.  The beaches should be open.

Also has anyone been stopped by law-enforcement with regards to fishing  or kayaking?

Called and talked to the folks at Steele canyon, Berryessa, they will be open unless forced to close. Trump speech today mentioned NOT closing outdoor camping type venues. California may be different though... :smt006
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Ferry Point Richmond is posted closed, however, many many people have parked on the outside and are hiking around in the park. I usually launch from there in the morning before they open anyway so it would be possible.

Looks like fishing in San Mateo County (i.e. HMB) is prohibited unless you are in the business of providing fish for an establishment.  I'm guessing the other restricted counties have the same rules but check before you fish.

That doesn't make much sense. You can walk around the neighborhood, but you can't fish on a deserted beach...

I don't think that means citizens can't go fishing on a more-or-less isolated beach (or boat for that matter). By fisherman, it appears to mean commercial fisherman since recreational anglers aren't allowed to provide fish to other establishments in the first place.

It looks like EBRPD parks will be opened back up in the next day or two. I’ll give Ferry Point a try on Friday. Bathrooms and buildings will remain closed.

Looks like they might even have camping still open?
Might be cold weekend coming up but if camping open I might just use my reservation next weekend.

Assuming the AOTY event was cancelled?

In the San Mateo link provided further up the thread -

You can engage in certain activities outdoors, but you should not play sports indoors or play team sports. Sports that are permitted (as long as you maintain at least six feet from anyone else and don’t share equipment):

yoga on your own (no sharing blocks or mats)
running alone or with others with distance
    riding your bike (alone/with distance)
    walking (alone/with distance)
    stretching
swimming in the ocean or in your own pool/hot tub
shooting baskets by yourself, or hitting a tennis ball against a backboard
NO activities where you share a ball back and forth.

I think if you can swim at the beach, you can fish.  In the Contra Costa regs, they explicitly say you can drive to your outdoor recreation if you follow all the distancing rules etc...

Found a few frozen anchovies and I'm loaded and ready to go. If the cops don't stop me I should be at Oyster Point in the morning and will make sure to keep social distancing in mind (not closer than 6' from anyone :smt001)
