Dude that is my dream kayak! Exactly what I want to build next. Just need to find a 2015 or greater replacement for my current revo  :smt007

Yep mine too. Just got a 19 revo. This setup is pretty trendy in the Florida area. Starting to make its way here.

AI outrigger on a Revo 13 and a motor?  Wasn't sure a Revo was built to support that load

For the 2019 revo, I think the capacity is like 350lbs. The suzuki motor only weighs in at about 30 lbs.

It works well. Saw him out there. The outrigger takes some of the load and you can even add more weight with no problems. Fish bags and tackle.

I want one of these! I've seen this done with the Revo 11 and Revo 13. Any opinions on which is the better setup?

Both would work but the 13 just gives you a little more room.

True, but maybe the 11 offers a little more portability for more challenging launch sites...

Just wonder - since this can't be used for large sail (i.e. AI/TI vs. "hobie kayak sail"), what is advantage of this vs. inflatable kayak outriggers/sidekicks?

I can see pros of
- looks (!!) and
- tramp space

But
- $$$
- transport
- less drag OTW when needed, when not under motor (arms can be raised)
- ability to paddle

I wouldn't trust those little inflatable amas with a gas outboard hanging off the side of your kayak. Who knows though, they could work? I don't want to be the one to test it :smt044

Nice setup. I’ve also seen this done with an Oasis tandem

Yup, this is the main reason IMO.  Those dinky inflatable ones won't support the motor.  But yeah, if motor dies, you are completely assed out in this thing.

I pretty much have the same setup with my AI and use it the same way as the revo here is setup in the photo if I go solo.

If your motor does go out, you can still peddle around. Just don't go out further than you're comfortable peddling back in.

As far as paddling, you can roll up the tramps and paddle as you normally would.

Designed to out fish all the rest of the kayaks for sure.  The purist in me doesn't like it but the rest of me is jealous...

one other pro is that he doesn't have to buy a boat since he made one out of his kayak.  Saving $$
