I just wanted to stop and thank everyone that helped me out yesterday at Bean Hollow.  Big thanks to Darius for taking the time to help me out step by step on the launch and landing and everything in between.   Scurvy for the great pointers, and everyone else for the great positive vibes and wholesome nature.

You guys made my first ocean kayak fishing trip a really awesome time, and I had a blast.  and it was amazing to see everyone pulling up fish left and right.

The community aspect of this forum is second to none, and made all the difference for my first trip off a beach. thank you all so much, Tight lines, and keep them upright folks.

Right on!  I can't wait for another good day to get out there and actually target some regular rock cods with some squid!  I was going full guns out with the big swim baits haha.

Cheers dude.

Squid does catch a lot of fish, but big swimbaits are fun :smt002

Nice day indeed - I saw lots of quality stringers yesterday. I ended the day with a 31" ling, 22" verm, a 21" cabbie plus a couple other keeper RF. Released two other lings about the same size -- one a little bigger the other a little smarter -- that hit on the last two drops before heading in.  Whole squid and big swim baits were both working great.

Cheers,
Brad
