Found this sitting in my spare box.  Battery doesn't seem to hold charge but that's it.  Turns on quickly but you can see the battery indicator dying.  I'm sure it just needs a new battery and charger and good to go.

maybe $40?

Pick up in El Cerrito or can ship via USPS flat rate.

West Marine VHF are a hit or miss to me i've baught several models and Thay all failed me in some way or another. Even out of the box... And trying to find spair parts (Antenna ect...) or service for them is non-existence. Unless West Marine come out with reliable handhelds i won't buy another VHF radio from them. Just my experience in wasted time on visit with them with no real solution other than a refund and or a piece of E -waste!  sorry to say you have some e-waste :smt001

So what do you do!

HapaIK, yes still got it.  Actually thought about messaging you.  Debating on selling the Oasis now.

Alien, I heard they are hit and miss.  Fortunately this one worked fine for me until I didn't stick it on the charger for many many months.  The battery is wont hold a charge longer than a few seconds.  Yes, it's probably ewaste to me but someone could cobble two into one.

How about $20 shipped??
Anyone?

My first West Marine one crapped out after 35 days and 4 uses, the exchanges one has been going 3 years now with too many outings to count plus they let me keep both charging cords.

If Keener doesn’t want it, I’ll take it. Probably an easy fix; I’ve had to work on a few WM/Uniden radiosin the past.

I don't own a VHF, and while I was hoping to get a GPS combo, I can't pass up a $20 vhf for safety and communication if all it needs is a battery. I've got a buddy a WM in Monterey so hoping they can help facilitate the fix.

West Marine VHF are a hit or miss to me ...

I had a similar experience. The latch that holds the battery in place broke on my one (and only) WM radio. They were good about refund, but don't think I'd get another one.
