My friend and fellow Mendocino County Sheriff's Deputy Scott Nordin was severely injured in a motorcycle accident on Friday afternoon near Yorkville. He is currently in the ICU unit at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. His condition is very serious to say the least.

Please join me in saying a prayer for him and his family.

Thanks.

Dan

Will do...and for his extended law enforcement family, too.

Dan,

I realize how precious a friend and a colleague can be to us so I ask God to restore to Scott complete health and strength and let Scott know Gods hand is upon him today stand by him and his family. I will continue to pray for him.

I went to see Scott today.  Thats about the only good news.  The ICU nurse was very nice and told me what was going on in PEOPLE TERMS.  I guess on a scale of 1 to 14,  14 being the best and 1 being totally brain dead, Scotts about a 3 or 4.  He had very little external trauma.  He had some ruptured organs, nothing too bad, but the impact to his brain was devastating.  He was wearing the small "SKULL CAP" style helmet, which offered very little protection. He was w/o oxygen for a long time, while being trapped under a PT Cruiser.

The nurse said it will take a miracle?  Sorry for the SH#@!$ update.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. And thanks again Andy for giving me the update. I spoke to Scott's ex-wife, son and one of his daughters today. They're taking it real well, for now. I had a hard time with it after they left. This really sucks. Anyway, thanks again.
