Hey guys what’s up!
Some of you guys already know me if not. My name I khanh Adams, and I’m from San Jose California. Some of you know me already know me as khanhcustoms for those who don’t know, I am a local custom fishing rod  builder.  You can see all my work on Facebook@ www.facebook.com/khanhcustoms
Or
Www.instagram.com/khanhcustoms.
Here some of my work

I’ve been on the site plenty of times and have donated a few bamboo gaffs to the tournments on here. I know too that a few of you guys have got some from me also.

So I got my kayak two months ago.
I got a Malibu x-factor in banana yellow.
Older model I pick it up used for 600. I got a pair Malibu X factor and a Malibu x calibur. Both all for 600 including eletrocnics and up graded seat, straps , rod holders, paddle leashes, and Yakima rollers 4 of them, pair of j racks, and one set of cradles. All that was missing was paddles.

Ariel picked up the kayak for me in Huntington Beach and left them at his moms in la for me to pick up. Drove down with bob a week later to pick them up and drive back up to morrow bay to do a rock fish tournament on the sport boats.

Got it home gave it a nice wash then off to amazon I went. Ordered everything in less than a week. All my safety gear, jacket, radio, compass whistle . I even got it a 750 bilge pump. Nav lights and usb and cigarette liter. Custom built my own battery box to run my bilge pump and fish finder on two separate batteries. Volt
Meter to see the battery life.

All of my electronics run through a fuse box. All the small stuff are on 3 amp fuses and the fish finder and pump are on 5 amps. Everything is screwed in and marine siliconed in.

Here’s my kayak

Adamskhanh, please post a picture which shows the location and nature of intake for your bilge pump.  Does the end of the hose just lie or sit on the bottom of your Malibu, or do you have a fixture on the end of the hose which helps the system suck up even small amounts of water from inside your kayak?

Congrats on the new yak!  Leash or noodle your rod.  I donated a trevala+curado 300 yesterday while crabbing.

The bilge pump it set toward the rear and set in with indurstral Velcro. Sucks up mostly everything on the bottom. Never had to use it but it’s there for me. Also have a back up hand pump. It pumps out the back behind my seat. And there’s no hose that’s sucks up water the bilge only is one hose which it pumps out. The unit it self sucks up of them bottom and goes out the hose

Right on, good intro post and congrats on the new yak. I’ve seen some of the pieces you’ve donated to NCKA events via Bob and they are immaculate fish-killing tools :-) Thanks for that btw!
