I was reading through the regulations and came across a page that said that Pacific Halibut is closed as of September 21 for the rest of 2018.  But I see a lot of fish reports, etc siting catching and taking.  Does anyone know if this is the most current info,  or is there new info that still has halibut open?

Pacific halibut and California halibut are different fish. You can still target California halibut.

It's 99.9% California halibut down here.  We can fish them year-round.

That video is Neah Bay I think. I really want to fish there one day.

We do catch decent ones in California too.

Spring closure is nice, but isnt necessary and wouldn't help that much more in landing.
