Does it seem like the mirage drive is really far forward? Like 4/5 of the kayak is behind the drive.

Maybe to give it better tracking since the rudder is now a little bit forward?  Just my guess :smt003

Better balance? The old outback rode nose up normally and really nose up if you had a bunch of gear in the back.

There's a bunch of Outbacks for sale at CL.  Quite a few are upgrading most likely.

Any pro-staff drag it down or up a ramp yet?
How much damage will the rudder receive?
How hard will it be to replace the rudder?
Really thinking of pulling the trigger next spring, but have concerns above.

Damn I shouldn't have sold mine so early. I could have used the new MSRP as my original purchase price.

Hobie did really well addressing the changes and improvements in this video. I really like it  :smt007

Damn, I really should've waited before getting the new Revo 13 a couple months ago.

CCK said the first 2019 outbacks should arrive around sept. I think I’m going to pull the trigger and get one. The front looks similar to my prowler 13. Can’t wait.

Yea, CCK in Redwood Shores said some time this month. They did say that the east bay location will have it first for sure (as a demo).

I stopped breifly by CCK in Redwood City and checked out the 2019 Outback.  I tried lifting it less the seat, drive and paddle on the 2 middle handles.  Its bow heavy and leans down forward. I would use wheels to move it around and Hullavators if I were car topping it.  The H Rails are impressive.
