For those of you familiar with the hwy108 corridor

It's burning up ,yesterday a fire that started at the donnell inlet made its way east. The clarks fork, brightman and dardenelles area have been consumed. Hopefully they can get a handle on it before it makes its way to Kennedy meadows.

Praying for all of you impacted by the fires.  Sad to hear of the loss of lives and property.  I have friends in the Redding area that have been evacuated twice.  So far they have been told they seem to have escaped any damage. 

Dang I love that area. Sounds like it’s burning uphill and there is lots of fuel. Strangely, I am/was trying to plan a trip up to Kennedy with my son before soccer season (looking at Aug 18/19). But, maybe I should stick to the coast with all these crazy fires

I'm so sick of this fire season.  I have family property in Twain Harte area, I know how many dead trees there are up there that are ready fuel for nasty fires. 

November rains can't get here fast enough.

Damn, I've done more backpacking up that corridor than anywhere else in California.This suxs

I was there Friday through Saturday. I wasn't aware of the fire when I got there. Planned to camp at Clarks Fork but was evacuated. Then moved to Pigeom Flat just to be evacuated again. I think 108 is closed to Sonora Pass...

I was up there Saturday as well. Made a couple stops to check out the fire then headed over to Dardanelles to see the owners and bs for a few. On my way back I could see that it was heading east pretty fast and hot. About an hour after heading back down the hill I heard about the evacuation of 108. It was pretty crappy watching the owners of Dardanelles find out they lost it all from random people on Facebook.
