Crap,

I watching the news this morning and it was all sunny skys and warm temps this weekend.

Of course they didn't mention any marine stuff.

Looks like the long paddle for salmon is out. (not that I was gonna do it anyway).

Good thing is that we have to be off the water by 1 so the wind hopefully will not be so bad.

Forecast changing to winds from the W from W/NW.  I got this little bug in my head telling me Capitola will be more sheltered.  I'll monitor the weather and make the lauch call as the time approaches.

Someone remind me ... where is the lauch at Capitola?

-Allen

Thanks Brian.  That sure is helpful.   :smt064

I'm just going to drive around the village of Capitola until I see a bunch of kayaks on on cars.  I'm pretty sure that will get me there.

I'm on the fence, depending on weather and the latest fishing reports.
That being said, I'll either be at the Crappytola wharf OR, venturing out to the salmon grounds through Moss Landing.

Here is a link to the lastest party boat scores from Monterey, ML and SC.

You can surf launch or pier launch.  To launch from the boat ramp on the pier (dry launch) drive onto the pier (5 MPH max) and temporarily park next to the skiffs and haul your stuff down the boat ramp, then park and walk back to the ramp.  You can park on Cliff Drive or Wharf road.  Parking on Cliff Drive is located just past the metered slots on the cliff above the kelp beds.

Wharf road parking is located in front of the restaurant parking lot.  From the pier, drive up Wharf road and take the first right and immediately park in the diagonal slots.

Both places are free all day.

Sunny and clear now.

The wind never really came up during fishing hours.

Personally june gloom without wind is just fine with me.

KZ:  Thanks, I forgot to point out that I do have a secret lure for those secret fish......and a secret retrieve!!
