Can I join you catching some baits?  I don't know how & where to catch bait there!  Are you using a throw net?  How do you keep them alive over night there?

Count me in...won't be arriving until 7:00 though.

For the Tarpon guys with the single hatch models, I'll bring surgical tubing that you can use to replace the "fish hook magnet" bungees on your yaks.  The price is right - Free!  Trust me from practical experience I can tell you that they work well.

I am in too guys - wanna give it another shot!

My buddy Nate is very cool and laid back and wants to come also but he is yak-less.  I have a paddle and PFD for him, he has license, rod/tackle, and he's a surfer dude so he has a wetsuit, if needed.  He will bring beer of choice or whatever for a loaner.

Can anyone port an extra yak he can borrow, and an extra net?  He'll arrive with me.  My car can't take 2 yaks....

Much thanks and see y'all out there!

CafeCraig,
If you can't find a SOT, I can bring your friend a sea kayak (Necky Zoar Sport) with a rod holder if that helps him at all. No extra net though.

Cool, I will keep that in mind Rick, thanks!

I am trying to talk him into buying a SOT which is part of the reason I hope we can borrow one.  If no-one has one, I'll let you know.

Thanks for posting - welcome to the board!

I'm using my Mini-X and have an extra SOT Ocean Kayak that rigged for fishing but don't have a rack on top of my truck (the Mini-X fits inside my short bed).  I live in Benicia and happy to loan it if someone here living close-by can help carrying it there.

Gonna really try to make it this time...halibut are one of the few fish I like to keep.

Is the name of the High School by the launch Encinal? Just wondering so I can map it.

Thanks!
