Here's how it will work:
The top placing competitor in the NCKA AOTY competition whose primary vessel for the competition is a PADDLE kayak (non pedal drive) will win this prize. The AOTY Committee members are very aware of which competitors use paddle kayaks and which primarily use pedal yaks, so we will be able to determine who the Top Paddler is.
