Hey Yall,
I've been really wanting to get into kayak fishing for a while. I finally decided to buy a boat with a little help from my tax refund! I'm purchasing a 2016 Mailbu X-13 with a Garmin fish finder already installed. I'll need a few more items to be ready for rockfish season (farmer john wetsuit, radio) I've loved catching rockfish and lingcod from charter boats (already got a limit from Monterey this year), now I'm ready to get out there on my own.

Welcome to the madness. Watch for hookups or post your own so you don’t have to be out there on your own. There is safety in numbers.  :smt006

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

I'm getting ready to go to my first rockfishing hook up as well!
Tight lines and hopefully we can fish together sometime.
if I'm not fishing I'm probably thinking about fishing

After catching 20-40 fish from your kayak, you’ll never want to go on a rockfish charter again!
