Howard and others that might have a difficult time navigating Shelter Cove Rd.
After you leave the town of Redway, be sure to follow the yellow center line, it goes all the way to the cove.
If you come to a fork in the road, Follow the Yellow Center Line it goes all the way to the cove.
If you think you should turn at a intersection, FOLLOW THE YELLOW CENTER LINE, IT GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE COVE!
So,
Just to recap,
Once on Shelter Cove Rd. In Redway,
FOLLOW THE YELLOW CENTER LINE, IT GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE COVE!
See You In a Few Weeks.

Can you please clarify what you just said?  :smt044 :smt003

If there is a detour, I hope there are directional signs all the way...hopefully all on pavement.

There is more than one paved way around the road that will be under construction

Construction is not scheduled to begun until 2019.
In the meantime, signs are in place if a detour is needed before construction beguins.
Also,
The road will be closed on May 14th for crews to survey the slide and assess repair strategy. This will be only the 14th, and the road will open again on May 15th.
If you are planning to come on the 14th, the detour will only add three minutes.
See you in a few weeks.

I think I might skip the event due to this road thing...  :smt006

Seriously, if you have any reservations due to the road, the potentially rough ocean, the weather...etc., please reconsider whether you should come.  I can send your schwag.

Don't come if you have any doubts about what taking some chances in life means.

Hey did you guys get a new Bear yet?

I though it was a cool thing to have a bear in the camp grounds.

Unfortunately, I am not gonna be able to make it this year. I started a new job 6 months ago and it is hard for me to get time off. I need to save my time off for a family vacation to Hawaii later in the summer. It really bums me out that I can't be there. This is my favorite event every year. Next year ill just have to stay twice as long ,fish twice as much and party twice as hard.

Sorry you can't make it Jack, you made the right choice though. So just to be sure I understand this, NO TACOSHACK this year !!!, I was'nt sure if your crew was going to do it anyways.
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Right on, Jack - see you next year.  :smt001

I'll be taking in the last minute entries over the next 2 days, and then the fun begins!

Please get in touch if you're looking to help out with the Gyotaku or the raffle.  Thx!
