Was curious how far my typical exercise paddle was this morning, but neglected to run the gps tracking app on my phone before taking off.

I thought, "I bet there's a site for that". Found this. Pretty cool.

You should check out the Navionics Webapp. (Google search “Navionics Webapp”.)

ItÂ’s got what youÂ’re looking for, and more.

I also recommend dropping $10 to buy the Navionics app for your smart phone. Best $10 IÂ’ve spent in a long time.

I have a free app in my phone called Distance Measure that works pretty well too.

I like GaiaGPS. Has lots of topo maps so its good for hiking too. It's pretty cheap and you can download the maps to use when you are offline. You can also use it on your computer (web-based) to create routes that you send to your phone.
