FIRE HELP and PIF Thread

Fucking crazy few days. My parents bailed from their place last night and stayed here. Went home this morning cause everything was looking good, now they're on their way back here because their house on yulupa is  being closed in on from two sides.

Oh man.

Not to diminish the severity of any of this but this particular spot may (hopefully) look worse than it is - which would actually be good news. Per the Press Democrat:

5:20 p.m.

A large plume of smoke over southeast Santa Rosa late Wednesday afternoon was part of a firing operation, to slow the spread of a fire threatening Bennett Valley, said Bennett Valley Battalion Chief Darren DeCarli.

The operation was done above Annadel Heights. Firefighters have been working in the area all day attempting to get a solid containment line on that section of fire.

Regardless, it's sobering, indeed.

Yes it is ..But folks around there are on advisory/stand by for evac.

I went to that school. We were over at my dads place today about two blocks from there closer toward Montgomery Drive. I've never seen that dude scared before today. Glad that was a controlled burn.
