I didn't want to say anything when I first read about Jellyfish slaying them, but now that Paige is in the mix, I think it's time... to implement an AOTY tournament... for, uh, um... the White family... and one for the rest of us.  I'm telling you, it's genetic... and when you bring hybrid vigor into the equation, forget about it... we don't stand a chance!    I'm seeing a 1-2-3 finish on the year... Sean, if you're not careful you might just be showing... instead of placing!

Man what a fleet yesterday!!! That was a crack up looking over the lake and plastic floatin everywhere... Sean great to finally meet you. Got to say hello to a couple other fellow yakers, and chat a little.  Sooo glad the kids got some hookups. Congrats to the youngins!!! The funniest one was (I forget the names) when one of the boys says "dad I got one" and dad says it think your snagged. Then the "snag" starts moving. Like I said, "don't question the kids..."    Sure wish they had these boats around when my kids were young. I had fun checking out the striper gig.  Saw a few striper boils, and tons of bait cruising around. Is that parr for the course, as far as the bait up there? I've never seen so much bait in a lake before. Came home with few ideas for the next time. I didn't use any bait, so I came up empty. I started to feel like the arcade game where you try to hit the groundhawgs as they pop up. Boil there, then over there, then over there... After the lake shut down, my friend and I stopped off at a private pond on the way home and hooked a few LMB then we went over to Lake Sonoma and hooked a few LMB and smallies. The last hour of the day was all on top water   one of my favs. Got home beat and feeling abused....

Yahooooooooooooooo!!! The kiddies are fishing animals... I love it. Great job guys... looks like the dads know how to do it... I got to get up there with my boys after seeing those pix. Awesome stripers...

Danglin-the "magic" net is very hard ot find, but is sometimes at West Marine...its nothing special just a medium mesh blue nylon net.  The frame that comes with the magic net sucks any hoo.  I ended up getting a replacement net and just put it on a regular dipnet frame.

Sean, what are more specific details on your "magic net"? Only nets I've seen at West Marine in the past were Cummings brand.
