Got to the lake at around 0730 and saw yaks already on the water.  I had Paige looking for bait while me and Jelly unloaded.

Within a few minutes Paige spotted the shad, and me and Jelly went to work loading the bait tank.  The shad were nice and big...

We baited up and got on the water.  There were quite a few yaks, my 3, Kicknbass, Sharkbait, Fishshim, Jonesz and a friend, bigeyedave and his buddy, and several other boats I didn't know.

After a short paddle I meter the fish, and second later I watched Paiges rod get DRILLED.  She struggled a moment getting the rod out of the holder under load, but once she got it out she was a PRO...I was beaming with pride.

Her little Kea was flying...

After a nice long sleigh ride I came over and proudly lipped her first striper for her.  We were stoked!

Kickinbass also boated a few, and his son also landed his first off of the gator hatch.  We actually kept a few today...had to eat Paiges first fish!

Great all around morning, great time all around.
