Why does doing team signups have to be like ordering from the soup nazi? Its fucking hilarious.

For the same reason I always face the bar codes up on big items before I check out at a store.

Because the seconds it takes you to sign up correctly saves me hours.   :smt045

That's why.  :smt006

Actually I think its more like telling everyone to cut their fillets into exactly square one ounce portions or I will ridicule them and throw out their fillets.

It would be like if everyone who volunteered to bring fillets for the taco shack just dumped a stringer of whole uncleaned fish on your taco table.... and then expected a prize  :smt003

Cool. You have convinced me despite your inability to use the "function correctly.

Anyone wanna take over for me?  I get free registration and a t-shirt or hoodie (can't remember)out of this, so I'll just reimburse you for your cost of registration and hoodie.

All that you need to do is:

1 Get the info from every angler
2. make sure everyone has a team
3. get the scoreboard from Eric on tourney day
4. Use the individual scores from Eric's scoreboard to calculate team averages (There is about an hour and a half between the time the scoreboard comes out and the awards presentation, so unless you are really fast at doing things by hand it's easier just to record individual scores on a spreadsheet and create a pivot table for the team assignments. I'm sure there is a better way to do it too.

It also helps to solicit sponsorship prizes.

If nobody else wants to do it, then i'll do it this year. It will be my last year.

Oh Archie, we all appreciate your hard work and dedication to this project. Furthermore, you do an excellent job. Please don't take my verbal abuse so seriously. I just can't resist a jab on a person who is so focused and determined on perfection. It is just a friendly jab. I will work on my quote function skills.  NOT!!!!!!!!!!

Adam, fixed Team North Valley Slayers ! Sorry brother, thought because we were on here with nicknames, you might want them.
I can't speak for everyone, but we do appreciate the time you and others put into this.  Remember everyone this was started as a safety net so your " team mates" all look out for each other.
Thanks again,
Jeff

No seriously I don't really want to do this anymore.  Part of doing this means you miss out on the potluck because you're taking down scores from the main scoreboard .  I'd like to join the potluck this year so I would really appreciate if someone could take over for me .

Maybe you can limit the species to only 2 if that would be easier. No need to make this such a serious and complicated part. I am all about just having fun. Do it as simple as possible Archie. I think everyone one would be happy with that .

IMO, we really don't need the team aspect of the competition.I know it doesn't enhance my shelter cove experience one bit but perhaps it does for others. I don't think we have it at the other tournaments. For those who thrive on competetive fishing, they can compete as individuals.Take a break Archie and enjoy the potluck. You deserve it.

I agree with this. You are working too hard, I think if you limit this to 2 species it should cut the time dramatically. I dont compete much, Im just there to have dun and hangout with everybody if I get lucky I get lucky. All the people are mainly GS virgins so I will keep eyes peeled for them.
Live today for tomorrow's sake.

Gee thanks.

I only do this because I was asked to do it.

I get better tacos across the street for a buck ninety nine, but you don't hear me bitching about your cooking skills.

Cool.  Does that mean you want to run it?  That'd be great.  I'll give you the prizess that I have secured from our sponsors before the awards.  You'll want to check with Eric to make sure your new format is cool with him .

Thanks, Alex!
