Halibut and Salmon. That will really narrow the field and make it interesting.

Alex

Cool.  Does that mean you want to run it?  That'd be great.  I'll give you the prizess that I have secured from our sponsors before the awards.  You'll want to check with Eric to make sure your new format is cool with him .

Thanks, Alex!

No thanks . I'm cool without team competition. Thanks for your previous efforts . See ya on the water . Buy ya a drink.

IMO, we really don't need the team aspect of the competition.I know it doesn't enhance my shelter cove experience one bit but perhaps it does for others.

Gee thanks.

I only do this because I was asked to do it.
I am just speaking for me personally. I am not the competetive type when it comes to fishing. Mostly cause I am not very good at it. Also because fishing is my way of getting away from competition and the whole one upsmanship and judging in life. For me, NCKA is about brotherhood, friendship, and being out in nature. Maybe you should blow off the whole Team competition thing and come bye the taccoshack for a few tacos and an ice-cold 16oz glass of therapy. Doctors orders.

Adam, calm down and eat a damn taco already.  :smt001
And no way you're getting a better one for $2.
Maybe $3

Thanks for doing a thankless task!

Many people appreciate the work you do on the team competition, scoring and photo shows, Archie!

The opportunity to be a part of a funny named team, being able to say they competed against some "amazing" fisherman is huge, and it's fun

I'm just playing along, I lack the youth and skill to really compete, but like seeing/hearing the scores and the teams teasing each other.

It's understandable if it has become too much and you step down after this event. I'd like to say thanks for all you've done!

Cheers!

I really don't want to do this anymore. There are 190 registered contestants. Someone else can deal with Jack et al.

I apologize for getting you so riled up. My soup nazi comment was just a friendly jab. Nothing more, nothing less.  Now that you have blown it off. take a deep breath, relax and come bye the shack for a cold one. We are all grateful for your doing this year after year.

Awesome! Thanks!!!

I'm currently very pressed for time, so if you could generate a roster from this thread and  that would be a huge help. I need separate fields for surname, given name , team name. I was planning to just copy paste using commas to separate  values... but I guess that's a challenge for some? ...... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Would you be willing to make the roster?

I created the base Excel list with names only. I can send the file to Ben if he wants to take over.

From original post:
"4. Post your team info on this thread in the following format:
Last name, First name, Team name (the commas are important).
5. If you are signing up multiple teammates, then use a new line for each individual.

Example:
Koons, Adam, Rodfathers
Knoles, Rob, Rodfathers

Unlike threads where the original post may be irrelevant to what you want to reply this one is a must read, as it contains instructions which are necessary to follow .
