Posting as a favor to Rachel.  She's moving and needs to clear out the big stuff.  Pickup in south San Fran.  $400

If I had the room for it I'd take it. Just because.

In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Notice the og ncka sticker on the hatch that is completely faded away.  If there was an ncka museum/hall of fame, this kayak would be on display.

This yak and I have been together for many many epic adventures after buying it in 10yrs ago from Joel.  The transaction happened at a dinner at potatoriver's (stuart) old house with Papa Smurf (NCKA godfather Bill) & Troutslayer/Hanapaa/Mooch (Joel).  Great night as I drove home with a full belly courtesy of Stuart/Susan, a new (used) yak from Joel, and a ziploc of hand poured swimbaits from Bill. Freddie Savage may have been there, but my memory has gotten spotty as I age.  This kayak has served me very well and if the proceeds could help Rachel out in any way, I know that Joel would be beaming with pride and happiness.  :)

If I were a bar owner down there it would be displayed above the bar, I'm not as seasoned on here as a lot of you old timers but know why that boat is special. I'm thinking a group buy kayak themed bar somewhere really fishy, with maybe a paddle up window?

Good idea, wondering if there is a bar or restaurant where we can have this mounted on the wall. Having a MOOCH and NCKA lettering on it. Isnt there a sushi place in HMB that is also a friend of Joel? We can all chip in to purchase this from Rachel. How about the Tackle place in Albion? or Tides Inn? Those who chip in can sign it. This kayak is too precious..

this is the best idea so far.........put $$ into a kitty to help his sister and keep the boat as an NCKA heirloom / loaner or ??

If I had the money and space.. I would go halves with some one. Cut the yak down the middle and display it on the wall in a bar area. With a plaque in his memory.
