Lings, what lings? did they get the memo too?

Well we did some spearifhsing out of otter cove, down towards hopkins and there was absolutely no sign of a ling whatsoever. we looked everywhere and every way and still could not come up with one. not even a half a ling.

there were lots of rf out and blues going through the rocks so i knew lings were not around.

i think they all got the memo and knew they were "fair game" yesterday. the funnier part about it was the two sealions following me. this area we were in has always produced good sized lings so it was amazing how we did not see one.

funny how it works but the rf out swimming were big. i got 3 olives and left the rest. we found some nice deep pinnacles covered with fish. all the fish but lings: )

wind got strong after we dove and the paddle back was a workout. im pooped and out of shape!

Hey John,

I had the feeling that the weather predictions had change in Monterey since cold front and wind picked up really well at San Bruno Mtn and GG around noon.  So from the fishing/diving reports I heard on 4/1, it was windy from Fort Ross all the way down to Monterey.... 

You'll get the lings next time.

yeah those winds came in strong, it was already breezing good when we left otter for the dives and it was not getting better.

i think i'll trade lings for white seabass or yellowtail the middle of next month at SCI: )
