The crabbing has been great this year and even though the commercial fleet moved in, still catching Jumbo's.
With all this crab, I need some new ideas on what to make. Please help me out here, post your recipe and give me some ideas.
Thanks for any ideas

heres some recipe.

Cajun style (spicy)
Coconut Milk with Veggies

Of course before all this crabs still required to be boiled. I boil mine in simplest way. Lemon and Onion :smt002

Cajun Style (Shaking Crab Recipe).

Ingredients:
Butter Unsalted
Minced Garlic (Lots and lots)
Brown Sugar (2 spoon?)
Cayenne Powder (Depends on how spicy you want) the rest below 1:1
Paprika
Cajun Seasoning
Lemon Pepper
Old Bay Seasoning.

Coconut Milk (my favorite) Gata filipino.
Chaokoh 1-2 cans depends how much crab
Crush or chopped Garlic (again a lot)
Onion Chopped
favorite veggies (not Salad LOL) string beans you can even used jalapenos make sure take the seeds out.
Sauteed till onion and garlic brown in oil.
Tricky part if you are using veggies that takes time to cook put them first with garlic. if not you can put those last.
After onions and garlic browned pour the coconut milk.
When if comes to boil, put the crabs. You keep stirring or put cover till the sauce thickened. Good to go.

Here's an easy fast dish for a quick meal
Buy a can of garlic and onion spaghetti sauce I like to add a lot more rosemary  tyme and bay leaf add some diced onion a small one maybe a little more garlic as well then  a prepared crab I like chunks   Be  careful not to put any crab shell in the mix.    Wile this simmers your noodles can be cooked usually 8-10 minutes depending on type and elevation strain noodles plate add sauce
Enjoy

These both sound good, can't wait to try them. In the mean time, I added some crab to my garlic basil fettuccine and it was the bomb

If you have never done a  ginger crab recipe you are in for a surprise.  There are many out there, so choose an easy one because the simpler the recipe the less you cover the crab taste, I think.  ALso, there are these things called rice wedges that you can put into the recipe that soak up the delicious juice in your frying pan.  I wish I had your problem of running out of  ideas for crab.

+1 on the beer and ingredients. I do like to halve and clean first. Then steam . I use a pasta strainer so the crab sit above the liquid when steaming.

I clean and halve and pressure cook for 2-3 minutes.  I have yet to make a delicious crabcake with a unique sauce.  Otherwise it's fresh cooked and chilled crab meat with homemade cocktail sauce for me and garlic butter for my wife.

Don't get me excited.....I could drink the stuff.  Ingredients: Ketchup, lemon juice and or touch apple cider vinegar,
worcesteshire, black pepper, atomic horseradish from smart and final, tabasco,  lil' salt.  Portions, guesstimate:  1 cup ketchup, 1 heaping Tbs horseradish, 2Tbs lemon juice, 1Tbs vinegar, 1Tbs worcesteshire, 2 tsp tabasco, S & P to liking, adjust all to liking, too much worcesteshire takes over and is too smokey, try without vinegar first, I just like vinegar.  Might need more horseradish but be careful. Add more ketchup and adjust accordingly if you render it inedible from ultra inflamed nostril syndrome. :smt006

I did a crab louie salad this year that was awesome. Crab rolls are also a great way to use chilled crab.

I wish I had the problem of eating so much crab all the time that I HAD to find new recipes. My schedule has been too busy to get out during the brief windows of good weather and sea conditions.

Cheers,
Brad
